The Bachelor of Creative Production in Animation is a new degree starting in Autumn 2026, as part of the newly reaccredited courses at UTS.
The new Bachelor of Creative Production in Animation replaces the standalone Bachelor of Animation Production. It brings Animation together with Media Arts and Music & Sound Design under a single integrated suite called the Bachelor of Creative Production, allowing students to specialise in Animation while also having the opportunity to explore sub-majors in the other disciplines and take electives from the communications degree.
Yes. While the degree encourages early specialisation in Animation, students can also taste and learn from Media Arts and Music & Sound Design majors by doing sub-majors, and can take electives from the Bachelor of Communication as well, making it a rich cornucopia of offerings.
Yes. There will be a Bachelor of Creative Production Honours, which is an optional fourth year available to students completing the Bachelor of Creative Production degrees, including Animation. In this fourth year, students from across the Animation, Media Arts, and Music & Sound Design streams come together to collaborate and build strong industry networks.
According to UTS, the Bachelor of Creative Production is budgeted as a creative arts degree, which is described as a lot cheaper than a general tertiary humanities arts degree.

Honestly I was lost when I first started looking at Australian colleges. There are just too many options and every agent gives you different info. A friend told me about FindTheCourses and within a week I had shortlisted 3 programs that actually matched my budget and visa situation. My advisor Sanjay was super helpful — never felt like I was being pushed into anything.
