About This Course

The Bachelor of Creative Production in Animation is part of a newly integrated suite of creative degrees at UTS, bringing together Animation, Media Arts, and Music & Sound Design under the Bachelor of Creative Production. The degree encourages students to specialise early — coming in with an animation focus — while also allowing them to taste and learn from each other of those majors by doing sub-majors, and to take electives from the communications degree as well. In the fourth year, students have the opportunity to cross-pollinate and work together, building strong networks and going forth to revolutionize the industry. The course is budgeted as creative arts, which is cheaper than a general tertiary humanities degree.

ATAR entry requirements apply; minimum ATAR varies by course (lowest approximately 72, highest 96 across the suite — check the UTS website for the specific Animation entry requirement)
Multiple pathways are available; if your ATAR does not meet the requirement, UTS College is an alternative pathway (complete first year at UTS College and enter the degree in second year)
Mature-age applicants who do not have a recent ATAR should contact the UTS admissions team for guidance on alternative entry requirements
Portfolio submission is NOT currently required for entry into the Animation degree; UTS welcomes students with a passion for animation regardless of prior drawing experience
