Common Questions
The Bachelor of Criminal Justice and Criminology can be completed in 2 years (six semesters) when taking a full-time study load of 40 credit points per semester. The program consists of 24 subjects totalling 240 credit points.
Students can tailor their studies by choosing from a psychology specialisation and two general electives, a law specialisation and two general electives, or general electives only. Students are also encouraged to consider criminology subjects not taken as part of the criminology specialisation as general elective choices.
Graduates will be prepared with industry-relevant skills and knowledge for career options in justice-related positions across private, government, and not-for-profit agencies, aligned with professional roles in support, policy, and research sectors.
The program has multiple intake dates available: May 2026, September 2026, January 2027, and May 2027, allowing students flexibility in when they begin their studies.
Bond University's teaching methodology involves a combination of lectures, tutorials, seminars, examinations, projects, presentations, assignments, computer labs, and industry projects. Students also work through authentic tasks like case analysis and real-world problem solving throughout their degree, and can complete supervised internships for academic credit.
