Bachelor of Criminology

Students in the Bachelor of Criminology can choose from three specialised majors: Crime Science (BCrim), Criminal Behaviour (BCrim), and Legal Studies (BCrim). They can also opt to complete a double major or add a major from another area of study such as Forensic Biology and Toxicology or Psychology.

The Crime Science major is the only major of its kind in Australia, making it a unique offering exclusive to Murdoch University's Bachelor of Criminology program.

Students can help solve real-life homicide and missing persons cases through Murdoch's Major Crimes Review initiative, gain hands-on experience through work integrated learning programs and industry partnerships, and be mentored by real-life criminologists who will inspire them to investigate social and crime problems from a range of perspectives.

The indicative first year fee for domestic students is $16,623 and for international students is $36,730. The full course fee for domestic students is $49,870 and for international students is $110,190. These fees are indicative and intended only as a guide, based on a typical full-time enrolment of 24 credit points.

The Bachelor of Criminology is offered at Murdoch's Perth campus with intakes in Semester 1 and Semester 2 each year (2026 and 2027). International transnational students can also study through Kaplan Higher Education Academy Pte. Ltd with intakes in Trimester 1, 2, and 3 each year in a mixed mode format.
