About This Course

Deepen your understanding of human behaviour Learn how human behaviour and psychology can apply to the criminal justice field. Develop foundational skills in counselling and applied neuropsychology, criminal behaviour and more.

Apply theoretical methodologies in practice, through hands-on, project-based learning. As a practical program, you'll be provided with the knowledge and skill set to work in criminal justice and allied fields. Career-ready placement opportunities can be sought with Research labs, the University of Newcastle Psychology Community Clinic, external agencies, and with Industry Partners. Students will access psychology labs and equipment. They will undertake pre-professional courses each year, preparing for professional practice with guest lectures and problem-based workshops. The Bachelor of Criminology/Bachelor of Psychological Science (Callaghan) is accredited by the Australian Psychology Accreditation Council (APAC) as a LEVEL 1 APAC accredited degree.
