What is a Bachelor of Cybersecurity? The Bachelor of Cybersecurity will prepare you for a career fighting cybercrime in some of the world's most in-demand roles. Designed and delivered by industry, this course will help you understand the ethical use of emerging and smart technologies, and how to defend them within a cybersecurity context. The course will cover an extensive range of theoretical and technical skills across subjects including cybersecurity principles; ethical hacking and penetration testing; human-centric cybersecurity in a smart society; enterprise cybersecurity governance and applications; as well as work-integrated learning to allow you to put your knowledge into practice. On completion, you'll be able to analyse and recommend innovative cybersecurity solutions, utilising your design thinking and problem-solving skills to protect the digital fortress. This course has been co-developed with industry-leading ICT practitioners and academics, and is structured to meet the Australian Computer Society's Core Body of Knowledge (CBOK) and Cybersecurity Body of Knowledge (CyBOK). More Learning outcomes and Work-Integrated Learning Learn the fundamentals of preventative cybersecurity principles, programs and practices. Understand complex cybersecurity requirements in designing innovative ICT solutions, using critical and analytical thinking to secure digital infrastructures. Learn to detect vulnerabilities and assess their potential impact on digital infrastructures using next generation technologies and security solutions. Learn ethical hacking and penetration testing practices used for proactive and offensive security strategies. Develop and construct innovative cybersecurity solutions to protect infrastructures against breaches and attacks. Identify emerging cybersecurity threats, risks and solutions. Learn to consider professional obligations, ethics and social responsibilities in line with ICT industry standards. Undertake 360 hours of experience by completing an internship or working on a live brief.
