The course includes a Work Integrated Learning program that provides real industry experience such as placements, internships, and industry-linked projects. You will undertake six projects — one per semester — each building on the last. There is also an optional professional work placement available (either a 6-month minor or 12-month major placement).
Yes, the Bachelor of Data Science is accredited by the Australian Computer Society (ACS).
For domestic students in a Commonwealth Supported Place (CSP), the yearly fee is approximately $9,537 AUD, with a total course fee of approximately $28,611 AUD. For international students, the indicative total course fee is approximately $44,510 AUD. A Student Services and Amenities Fee (SSAF) of $373 AUD (capped amount for 2026) also applies. Yes, credit transfer is available for previous study, and Recognition of Prior Learning (RPL) allows students to gain credit based on skills and knowledge gained through work experience, life experience, and/or formal training. Additionally, students admitted with prior tertiary studies that satisfy part of the academic requirements may be eligible for academic credit. All applicants are assessed on a case-by-case basis.
