In this integrated degree, you'll be introduced to the core design disciplines of graphic, spatial and digital interaction. You'll develop expertise through hands-on design projects where you'll explore the areas of design you are most passionate about, working alongside designers with complementary skills.
For domestic students, the estimated first year indicative fee is AUD $9,550 (Commonwealth supported place). For international students, the estimated first year indicative fee is AUD $37,700.
Yes. In SAH2650 Professional Experience: Internship, students can choose a workplace-based track (minimum 100 hours of professional placement) or a project-based track working on a real-world challenge with an industry partner. In SAH3650 Professional Placement 1 and SAH3660 Professional Placement 2, students gain experience by undertaking a minimum of 225 hours (per unit) of professional placement with a relevant host organisation. Acceptance into these units is by application only.
This course doesn't require an ATAR for entry. You can apply using ECU's Creative Humanities Portfolio Entry pathway, or satisfy academic admission requirements through alternatives such as an AQF Cert IV, an Undergraduate Certificate, a University Preparation Course, the Skills for Tertiary Admissions Test, the Indigenous University Orientation Course, the Experience Based Entry Scheme, or by having successfully completed 0.25 EFTSL of study at bachelor level or higher at an Australian higher education provider.
The course is accredited by ECU as an AQF Level 7 Bachelor Degree Award. Students are required to complete 240 credit points of core units and 120 credit points of elective units. Students that complete a 4-unit, subject-based Elective Sequence may nominate to have this recorded on their transcript as a minor in the subject area. Available elective sequences include Photography and Visual Arts.
