The guaranteed entry ATAR for this course is 65.00. If you don't have an ATAR, Flinders University encourages you to speak to them about alternative entry options, including STAT (minimum 150.0), GPA (minimum 4.0), or TAFE/VET Certificate IV or above.
The course is delivered in person at two campuses: the City Campus and the Tonsley Campus in South Australia. You can start in either March or July each year.
In Years 2 and 3, you will study topics including UX Fundamentals, Design Studio, User Experience and Ergonomics, Production Engineering, Sustainability, Waste and Energy, and Cyber-Physical Systems, Robotics and Automation. You will also choose one option topic from Marketing Principles in the Digital Era, Human Factors for Interactive and Web-Based Systems, Mechanical Design Project, Innovation and Industry, Introduction to Digital Graphic Design, or Interaction Design.
Graduates are prepared for roles such as UX Designer (typical salary $115K), Human Factors Engineer (typical salary $120K), Industrial Designer, Interface Designer, Design Researcher and Product Designer. These roles span industries including healthcare, fintech, aerospace, defence and smart systems, blending creativity, problem-solving and technical skill.
No, this course is not available to international students. It is only open to domestic students who are Australian or New Zealand citizens, or Australian Permanent Residents (including Humanitarian Visa holders).
