You will be introduced to a range of digital media fields and then specialise in either Interactive, Digital Video, Sound, or Digital Environments over the course of your three years of study.
Yes, internships are available in the final year of your studies, with either RMIT's existing industry contacts or with a workplace of your choosing. You will undertake an internship or studio project in the final semester that will allow you to demonstrate what you have learned over the previous years of study.
Yes. This degree is also offered at RMIT's Ho Chi Minh City campus in Vietnam, and students are able to move between campuses for a semester or two. Travel grants may be available for Australian students wishing to complete a semester in Vietnam. Additionally, RMIT offers overseas work, exchange and study experiences with over 165 partner universities worldwide.
The ATAR entry score for domestic students is 60.45. Entry to this program is competitive, and eligible applicants are ranked and selected in order of merit based on their academic achievement plus any adjustment factors, up to a maximum of 28 aggregate adjustment points.
This course is based in studio practice, with a strong focus on ideas, skills and knowledge by way of practical and theoretical approaches to digital media problems and solutions. Assessment methods may include portfolio production, presentations, peer and industry review, and independent or collaborative group work. Most RMIT courses do not include passive large-scale classes such as lectures; instead, content is made available online in the form of readings, videos or other on-demand learning materials to support interactive on-campus learning.
