Each semester revolves around a studio which explores aspects of the design process relating directly to the practice of the architectural profession. The studios are supplemented by core units of study in architectural history and theory, communications, technologies and art workshops. You will also complete elective units in arts, architecture, architectural science, design or planning.
Methods of study will include studio work, lectures, seminars, field trips and workshops.
Yes, domestic applicants are invited to submit a portfolio of work in support of their application. The portfolio will be considered as part of the application through the Admission Scheme for Domestic Applicants.
The closing date for Semester 1 is 31 January of the commencing year. Note that this course has limited places available and not all applicants who meet the application deadline and requirements may be successful.
The Bachelor of Design Architecture will equip you with critical design, communication, problem solving and creative skills, preparing you as your first step to becoming a registered architect.
