A Vertically Integrated Masters (VIM) degree combines the Bachelor of Design in Architecture (Honours) and the Master of Architecture into a single integrated program. In this course, you complete all core Bachelor of Design and Architecture units of study and all core Master of Architecture units of study, plus core units unique to the VIM, including an Architecture Dissertation on a topic of your own choosing, which is the culmination of the undergraduate Honours component.
Yes, domestic applicants are invited to submit a portfolio of work in support of their application. The portfolio will be considered as part of your application under the Admission Scheme for Domestic Applicants.
For international applicants, the closing date for Semester 1 entry is 31 October of the preceding year. Note that this course has limited places available, so not all applicants who meet the deadline and requirements may be successful.
You will learn about architectural design, history and theory, communications, and architectural technologies while progressively developing your professional skills. You will also complete an Architecture Dissertation on a topic of your own choosing as the culmination of the undergraduate Honours component, as well as elective units of study as required to meet the course requirements of the VIM.
