The course offers three majors: Animation, Visual Effects and Virtual Production; Game Design and Art; and Immersive User Experience Design. Students can choose a single major, a double major combining two of these areas, or complement their major with a specialisation such as Game Design and Development, Mixed Reality Experience Design, or Virtual Production.
Yes. Instead of a single major, you can extend your expertise and career opportunities by combining two majors into a distinctive double major. The available double major combinations are: Animation, Visual Effects and Virtual Production + Immersive User Experience Design; Animation, Visual Effects and Virtual Production + Game Design and Art; and Game Design and Art + Immersive User Experience Design.
In your first year, you will complete core creative units and learn technologies relevant to your major. In your final year, you'll have opportunities for work-integrated learning and/or industry research experiences, and may participate in cross-disciplinary projects that reflect real-world studio collaborations. You'll also gain access to studio facilities, new technologies and industry networks, and graduate with a professional creative portfolio.
You must meet Curtin's English language requirements. For this course, the IELTS Academic requirement is an overall band score of 6.5, with a minimum of 6 in each of Writing, Speaking, Reading, and Listening. If you have completed a different English test or qualification, you may be able to use it to meet this requirement by checking accepted English tests, qualifications and required scores on Curtin's English language requirements page.
The guaranteed ATAR for the Bachelor of Digital Creative Industries is 70. If you achieve this ATAR/selection rank and meet all other entry requirements, you are guaranteed a place in this course. ATAR adjustment factors may also raise your Selection Rank above your ATAR based on circumstances such as where you live, the school you attended, or your background.

Honestly I was lost when I first started looking at Australian colleges. There are just too many options and every agent gives you different info. A friend told me about FindTheCourses and within a week I had shortlisted 3 programs that actually matched my budget and visa situation. My advisor Sanjay was super helpful — never felt like I was being pushed into anything.
