Within the Economics program, you can choose an embedded major from the following options: Econometrics, Economics, Environmental, Agricultural and Resource Economics, or Financial Economics.
During the first three years, you concurrently complete compulsory law units (equating to Year 1 of the Bachelor of Laws) and a program in Economics covering foundational studies in microeconomics, macroeconomics, and econometrics, along with an embedded major, Open Learning Environment units, and electives. The final two years consist of compulsory and elective law units (Years 2 and 3 of the Bachelor of Laws).
Yes. If you meet the entry and progression criteria, you can elect to complete the Advanced Economics program, which serves as a pathway to Honours in Economics.
The closing date for Semester 1 entry is 31 January of the commencing year, and the closing date for Semester 2 entry is 15 July of the commencing year. Note that separate deadlines apply for scholarship applications.
Yes. International students commencing in Semester 2 will not be able to start the Law component until Semester 1 of the following year.
