About This Course

With economics and law influencing almost every aspect of society, the UNE Bachelor of Economics/Bachelor of Laws will equip you with a valuable portfolio of knowledge and skills relevant to a wide range of careers. You will graduate with knowledge and skills in the most recent theory and practice of law and an in-depth practical understanding of how the economy works, as well as transferable critical thinking, problem solving and analysis skills to apply to many industries.

The UNE Bachelor of Economics/Bachelor of Laws is crafted to help you develop the contemporary knowledge, skills and attributes required for legal problem solving and economic decision making across a diverse range of issues and industries. You will benefit from UNE's unique regional, rural and remote perspective on legal issues, as well as a particular emphasis on social responsibility, ethical decision making and environmental and business sustainability in the economics component. You will graduate with strong economic and quantitative acumen and a professionally accredited law degree, together with advanced technical skills in data analysis and research.

Entry is based on recent secondary (ATAR), higher education (GPA), VET study, or work experience
Entry is based on Australian Year 12 equivalence; English language requirements must also be met
Assumed Knowledge: sound knowledge of any 2 units of English and any 2 units of Mathematics studied at a Year 12 level (or overseas equivalent)
Must meet the Inherent Requirements in order to complete this course
Mandatory intensive schools on campus may be a requirement of some units in this course
Higher education applicants: must have completed an Undergraduate Certificate, Diploma, Advanced Diploma/Associate degree, Bachelor degree, or Postgraduate degree with an appropriate GPA
Transfer from another UNE course: must have completed at least 4 units of study within a single course with a minimum GPA of 4.2
VET study applicants: assessed on level and type of qualification (graded Diploma or above), graded or ungraded, and complete or incomplete
Work and life experience applicants: at least one year of paid professional experience (with resume and Statement of Service), or completion of the Skills for Tertiary Admissions Test (STAT) within the past three years
International applicants must meet both Academic and English Language Requirements
