Common Questions
This qualification will qualify you to apply for dual registration as a Kindergarten and Primary teacher with the Victorian Institute of Teaching (VIT).
The course includes 120 days of professional placement across childcare, kindergarten and primary school settings. This includes 50 days in early childhood (including 15 days birth to 3 years) and 50 days in primary school placements across the four years.
Assessment methods include written research papers, personal and group presentations, reflective journal practice, and e-portfolio.
Yes, the course can be studied part time over 8 years. The part time timetable is 2 days per week, 9am to 5pm.
Domestic students may be eligible to receive Commonwealth Prac Payment (CPP) while completing the placement. International students are not eligible for the CPP.
