You will study core units in four HPE strands: Health, Physical Education, Sports Science and Professional Practice, and a major in education studies. You will also complete a minor or teaching area from the disciplinary pool, and units from the Open Learning Environment or the shared pool as needed to meet the requirements of the course.
Graduates receive a specialist professional qualification to teach in the key-learning area of Personal Development, Health and Physical Education (PDHPE), along with a second key learning area.
Yes, you will undertake service learning opportunities throughout your studies alongside your coursework.
The closing date for Semester 1 applications is 31 January of the commencing year. Note that separate deadlines apply for scholarship applications.
The course page distinguishes between domestic students (Australian or New Zealand citizens, Australian Permanent resident visa holders, Australian Permanent humanitarian visa holders, and Pacific Engagement Visa holders) and international students (those who are not Australian or New Zealand citizens or permanent residents, or do not hold a Pacific Engagement Visa).
