Study in our state-of-the-art technologies: SimTeach, SimCave and SimSchool. These immerse students in both virtual reality and hands-on experiences and prepare students for diverse contexts and diverse students. Our technologies are used to reflect our commitment to equity, excellence and indigenous knowledge, through shared experiences, indigenous storytelling and reflective practice. Students of this degree graduate with the skills, knowledge and influence to nurture capable, confident and well-adjusted individuals. The University of Newcastle Primary Education graduates enjoy diverse careers as specialist teachers, leaders and education professionals across related sectors in Australia and around the world. Please note: Depending on your chosen teaching areas, you may need to attend classes at multiple campuses (e.g., Callaghan, Newcastle City, Gosford) or online. While core courses are offered at your chosen location, some discipline-specific courses may only be available at other locations. There are 3 placements in primary school settings totalling 90 days for domestic and international students. As these are professional placements, international students should have a professional level of spoken and written English. New Colombo Plan Mobility Program – experience teaching in bilingual classrooms in Asia with funding available.
