Yes. This course is accredited by the NSW Education Standards Authority (NESA) and approved by the Queensland College of Teachers (QCT) for Primary initial teacher education in accordance with the Australian Institute for Teaching and School Leadership (AITSL). Usually, Australian teacher qualifications are recognised internationally, however, students are advised to check with potential employers and teacher registration authorities in other countries regarding overseas accreditation requirements.
International applicants must achieve a minimum IELTS overall score of 7.5, including a minimum result of 8.0 in both the speaking and listening modules and 7.0 in reading and writing. Alternatively, applicants may achieve an ISLPR score of at least 4+ in each of the four areas: speaking, listening, reading and writing.
The Southern Cross Model involves shorter, six-week unit structures designed around immersive and interactive learning experiences.
