Bachelor of Education (Primary Teaching)

You will gain more than 585 hours of practical experience in schools and education centres across Western Australia throughout the Bachelor of Education (Primary Teaching).

SimLab™ is a world class and innovative virtual classroom technology that allows you to interact with student-avatars operated by a trained actor behind the scenes. Before you start your first practical experience in a school, you'll use SimLab™ to get a sense of your interactive skills. In the second, third and fourth years of your degree, you will use SimLab™ again to practise further 'pretend' interactions with a range of students and parents. Murdoch is the first Australian university to offer this simulated classroom teaching technology.

To expand your career opportunities, you can choose to specialise in Inclusive Education, STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering and Mathematics), Indonesian or Japanese teaching in primary schools.

Students enrolled in this course may be eligible for the Commonwealth Prac Payment (CPP) program, which is designed to provide financial support to students undertaking mandatory industry placements as part of their course.

The indicative first year fee for domestic students is $4,921 and the full course fee is $19,682. For international students, the first year fee is $36,000 and the full course fee is $144,000. The course is available starting Semester 1, 2026; Semester 2, 2026; Semester 1, 2027; and Semester 2, 2027 at the Murdoch campus.
