Common Questions
Yes. AC's education awards are accredited by the NSW Education Standards Authority (NESA) and designed to meet the Australian Professional Standards for Graduate Teachers, recognised by AITSL (Australian Institute for Teaching and School Leadership). This allows graduates to apply to register as teachers across all school sectors in Australia, including faith-based, government, and non-government schools.
Candidates will complete two designated teaching specialisations from the following learning areas or subjects: English, Humanities and Social Sciences, Mathematics, and Religious Studies. Other teaching specialisations may be done through a university partnership as detailed on the AC website.
The course includes practical placements which can be completed in a range of local or international schools. AC also has partnerships with over 100 Independent schools to train students, including an embedded Teaching Model Hub where students learn whilst being placed in a school community with a mentor teacher. This hub model is an apprenticeship style of 'on the job' learning and is described as a global first initiative which flips the conventional educational structures and trains students onsite in partner schools.
The course costs $2,579 per subject under full-fee paying arrangements. This course is also eligible for a Commonwealth Supported Place (CSP), reducing the cost to as little as $592 per subject for eligible students, with no upfront fees available via HECS-HELP. FEE-HELP is also available for non-CSP students.
The Bachelor of Education (Secondary) takes 4 years full time, or up to 12 years part time. Study modes include Online Recorded, Online Live, and Placements, with locations available online and in Sydney. Most students choose a blended learning delivery — attending a one-week face-to-face intensive seminar on campus for each subject and completing the remainder of their study online. Fully online study is also available, with the exception of professional experience placements.

Honestly I was lost when I first started looking at Australian colleges. There are just too many options and every agent gives you different info. A friend told me about FindTheCourses and within a week I had shortlisted 3 programs that actually matched my budget and visa situation. My advisor Sanjay was super helpful — never felt like I was being pushed into anything.
