No. This course is not designed for those who wish to have a career in teaching and is not accredited by the Teacher Registration Board of Western Australia. It is intended for those who want to work in education from the perspective of someone who isn't intending to seek registration as a qualified school teacher. However, after graduating, if you become interested in seeking registration as a qualified teacher, you can apply for entry into Curtin's initial teacher education courses and apply for Credit for Recognised Learning for units you have already completed.
You must meet Curtin's English language requirements. For this course, the IELTS Academic requirement is an overall band score of 6.5, with minimum scores of 6 in each of Writing, Speaking, Reading, and Listening. If you have completed a different English test or qualification, you may be able to use it to meet this requirement by checking accepted English tests, qualifications and required scores on Curtin's English language requirements page.

For 2026, the domestic indicative Commonwealth-supported first-year fee is approximately $4,800. This is based on a first-year full-time study load of 200 credit points. Your fees will vary depending on the units you choose, and this indicative fee does not include other fees like administrative and incidental fees (such as lab coats or art supplies) or the cost of textbooks.
