Yes, the Bachelor of Engineering (Aerospace Engineering) (Honours) is fully accredited by Engineers Australia, which is the professional body responsible for the accreditation of higher education programs that prepare students to practise as professional engineers. Engineers Australia is a signatory to the Washington Accord, meaning the program is internationally recognised and graduates are able to practise as professional engineers in many countries around the world. Graduates are also eligible for graduate and/or professional membership of Engineers Australia.
Yes, you can tailor your degree through a range of minors and majors. Specialisations include aircraft technologies, spacecraft technologies, and aviation industry on the engineering side. For the business component, you can choose from 13 business majors and over 30 business minors including global business, business analytics, supply chain and logistics, human resources, accounting, finance and international business.
Work-integrated learning is embedded throughout the degree. Hands-on learning experiences include capstone projects, industry placements, and participation in the Engineers Without Borders Challenge. You may also complete a work-integrated learning (industry experience) elective in Year 2, 3 or 4. Additionally, students may have the opportunity to present their final-year capstone project at EnGenius, an end of year student showcase event.
Yes, RMIT has an international exchange program agreement with universities across the globe. Second-year students may apply to attend the program from early September to the middle of January. You will gain credit points for your studies and extend your network for further career opportunities. RMIT also offers a range of opportunities to study abroad through overseas work, exchange and study experiences with over 165 partner universities worldwide.
This program is taught predominantly at the City campus. However, students may have to travel to the Bundoora campus for laboratory, work-integrated learning (WIL) and/or capstone project work.
