Upon completing this combined program, you graduate with both a Bachelor of Engineering Honours (Biomedical Engineering) and a Bachelor of Science (Health), giving you qualifications in both engineering and health sciences.
In your final year, you will complete an honours thesis in Biomedical Engineering as part of the Bachelor of Engineering Honours, as well as undertake engineering work experience as part of the Professional Engagement Program.
This course has two intake periods: Semester 1 applications close on 31 January of the commencing year, and Semester 2 applications close on 15 July of the commencing year. Separate deadlines apply for scholarship applications.
Yes, you can choose to complete an optional specialisation (where available) within your chosen Biomedical Engineering stream as part of the Bachelor of Engineering Honours component of the degree.
You can submit an application through the University of Sydney's online application portal. Domestic applicants include Australian or New Zealand citizens, Australian Permanent resident visa holders, Australian Permanent humanitarian visa holders, and Pacific Engagement Visa holders.
