Common Questions
Yes, the Bachelor of Engineering (Civil and Infrastructure) (Honours) is fully accredited by Engineers Australia, which is the professional body responsible for the accreditation of higher education programs that prepare students to practise as professional engineers. Engineers Australia is a signatory to the Washington Accord, meaning the program is internationally recognised and graduates are able to practise as professional engineers in many countries around the world. Graduates are eligible for graduate and/or professional membership of Engineers Australia.
You can select from one of 13 business majors to tailor your business degree to your interests and career aspirations. The options are: Blockchain Enabled Business, Business and Technology, Economics, Entrepreneurship, Finance, Financial Planning, Global Business, Innovation and Enterprise, Logistics and Supply Chain, Management and Change, Marketing, People and Organisation, and Social Impact. There are also more than 30 minors to choose from.
Work-integrated learning opportunities include the Engineers Without Borders Challenge – a humanitarian-focused subject, industry-sponsored design projects and work placements in Australia and overseas. In your first year, you will study an Introduction to Engineering subject incorporating the Engineers Without Borders Challenge, and you may extend this by completing an Engineers Without Borders elective to experience humanitarian engineering first-hand. RMIT also has agreements with universities in the United States, Canada, Europe, and Asia on civil and infrastructure engineering student exchange programs, and optional tours are organised to Paris to study practical applications related to sustainable cities of the future.
In your final year, you will conduct an engineering research project (capstone project) that can be analytical, experimental, design or computational in nature. You may have the opportunity to present your project at EnGenius, an end of year student showcase event. Additionally, as part of your business studies, you will complete a Business Graduate Folio, a capstone subject that brings together your business studies.
The ATAR entry score for domestic students is 83.70 (with adjustment factors available). This program is taught predominantly at the City campus in Melbourne. Students may have to travel to the Bundoora campus for laboratory, WIL and/or capstone project work. The program is available for full-time study over 5 years or part-time over 10 years, with intakes in February and July.

Honestly I was lost when I first started looking at Australian colleges. There are just too many options and every agent gives you different info. A friend told me about FindTheCourses and within a week I had shortlisted 3 programs that actually matched my budget and visa situation. My advisor Sanjay was super helpful — never felt like I was being pushed into anything.
