Common Questions
Students can choose from four majors: Civil Infrastructure, Environmental Engineering, Structural Engineering, or Transport Systems Engineering. The major begins in Year 2 and continues through to completion in Year 4.
Yes, in Year 3 students undertake a 20-week industry placement as part of the work-integrated learning component, allowing them to apply their learning in a real-world context.
The course is offered at both Tonsley Campus and City Campus. For students admitted to the City Campus offering, Years 1 and 2 will be completed at Flinders City Campus and Years 3 and 4 will be completed at Tonsley Campus.
For 2026, the annual indicative fee is $9,537 for Commonwealth Supported Place (CSP) domestic students and $47,300 for Full Fee Paying (FFP) international students.
The prerequisite is SACE Stage Two Specialist Mathematics or Mathematical Methods or equivalent. Knowledge of SACE Stage Two Physics or equivalent is also assumed. The guaranteed entry ATAR is 80.00, and alternative entry pathways are available for those without an ATAR.
