The available engineering streams are: Aeronautical Engineering, Aeronautical Engineering with Space, Biomedical Engineering, Chemical and Biomolecular Engineering, Civil Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Environmental Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering with Space, Mechatronic Engineering, Mechatronic Engineering with Space, and Software Engineering.
Yes, if you meet the required ATAR or equivalent, you are able to apply to study the Space stream. However, it is only available in conjunction with one of the following streams: Aeronautical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or Mechatronic Engineering. For a combined degree, you will first need to complete enrolment in your chosen stream, then complete the stream change form to add the Space stream.
In your final year, you will complete an honours thesis in your chosen stream of the Bachelor of Engineering Honours. You will also undertake engineering work experience as part of the Professional Engagement Program.
Concurrently with the Bachelor of Engineering Honours, you will complete the Bachelor of Commerce degree core units along with a major from the Commerce disciplinary pool. You will also complete units from the Open Learning Environment and any elective units outlined in the requirements of the course.
The closing date for Semester 1 intake is 31 January of the commencing year, and the closing date for Semester 2 intake is 15 July of the commencing year. Note that separate deadlines apply for scholarship applications.
