Common Questions
The course includes 48 weeks of paid industry placement, split across two units: Industry Practice 1 (ENEP11006) which is 24 weeks, and Industry Practice 2 (ENEP12010) which is a further 24 weeks. These placements are in your relevant field of engineering and are coordinated by the University, meaning you graduate with one year of industry experience.
You can choose from the following majors: Civil, Civil with Humanitarian, Electrical, Electrical with Data Analytics, Electrical with Industrial Automation, Electrical with Information Processing, Mechanical, Mechanical with Industrial Automation, and Resource Systems.
Yes, the CC32 Bachelor of Engineering (Honours) Co-op course is fully accredited by Engineers Australia. Graduates are recognised as professional engineers and are eligible for Graduate membership with Engineers Australia. Note that the following recently introduced majors have provisional accreditation until there are sufficient graduates for them to be reviewed by EA: Electrical with Data Analytics, Electrical with Information Processing, Resource Systems, and Civil with Humanitarian.
To be eligible, you need an ATAR or Selection Rank of at least 72.00, plus English (Units 3 and 4, C) or equivalent and General Mathematics (Units 3 and 4, C) or equivalent. Recommended but optional subjects include Physics, Mathematical Methods, and Design. English Language Proficiency requirements also apply, and alternative entry pathways are available for those who do not meet standard requirements.
Yes, all units in this course are offered in online mode, but some units have a compulsory Residential School for distance students. These Residential Schools give students an opportunity to develop and demonstrate practical skills. For example, Materials for Engineers (ENEG11008) and both Geotechnical Engineering (ENEC12008) and Stress Analysis (ENEC12012) in the Civil Major are listed as having Residential Schools.

Honestly I was lost when I first started looking at Australian colleges. There are just too many options and every agent gives you different info. A friend told me about FindTheCourses and within a week I had shortlisted 3 programs that actually matched my budget and visa situation. My advisor Sanjay was super helpful — never felt like I was being pushed into anything.
