You can choose from the following Bachelor of Engineering (Honours) majors in this double degree: Chemical Engineering, Civil and Construction Engineering, Electrical and Electronic Engineering, Industrial and Systems Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Mechatronic Engineering, Metallurgical Engineering, Mining Engineering, and Software Systems Engineering.
The following Bachelor of Commerce majors are available in this double degree: Accounting, Economics, Finance, and Management. However, not all of these majors may be available with all of the Engineering majors.
Yes, the Bachelor of Engineering is accredited by Engineers Australia and recognised internationally. Chemical Engineering double degrees are also accredited by the Institution of Chemical Engineers. For Commerce professional recognition, you should refer to the individual majors (Accounting, Economics, Finance, and Management).
In your first year of study, you will complete the Engineering Foundation Year (EFY). The EFY was developed in partnership with industry to give you a solid base of the fundamental concepts common to all areas of engineering and reflect current engineering practice.
To satisfy professional accreditation requirements, you'll complete at least 12 weeks or equivalent of exposure to professional engineering practice. You can meet this requirement through appropriate work experience or through a combination of technical and non-technical activities.
