Yes, the Bachelor of Engineering (Honours) and its specialisations are professionally accredited by Engineers Australia. As accreditation is outcomes-based, if an engineering course or program hasn't yet produced a sufficient number of graduates, it may be granted provisional accreditation. For the accreditation status of individual specialisations, please refer to the handbook page for the relevant major or the Engineers Australia website.
The minimum score for guaranteed entry (or for consideration if this course has limited places) is a Selection Rank of 80. Your Selection Rank is your ATAR or IB Combined Rank plus any adjustments you are eligible to receive. The minimum IBAS is 30.25. Adjustment factors such as the subjects you are studying, the location of your school, or your eligibility for equity and access schemes may be taken into consideration.
Yes, this course contains a total of 420 hours of compulsory work-based placements, completed over 12 weeks (at 35 hours per week) throughout the degree, providing valuable practical training.
The double degree takes 5.5 years full-time, or part-time equivalent. A double degree at UOW provides a world-class qualification in less time and at less cost than studying the two degrees separately, and having a double degree will give you a competitive advantage in a crowded job market.
