Common Questions
Thanks to the VU Block Model, where you study subjects in four-week 'blocks', there are five opportunities across the year to start your course.
You can apply for credit for any relevant units you have completed in your current or previous course(s). A VET (TAFE) diploma may get you entry into the second year of a bachelor degree. To apply, you will need to supply academic transcripts and unit descriptions. Any documents in another language will need to be translated and certified.
Domestic students in undergraduate courses can defer studying for work, travel or personal reasons, as long as they do this before enrolling. Local (domestic) students who are starting a higher education course may defer for a maximum of 12 months.
Course applications are made directly to VU, or via VTAC. Step-by-step instructions are available via the relevant 'how to apply' button on the VU website. If applying directly to VU, you can also apply for credit during the course-application process.
For course and study enquiries, you can call VU on +61 3 9919 6100, Monday to Friday, 9am–5pm, or enquire online. You can also visit VUHQ, VU's student service centre, which offers in-person, online and phone support.

Honestly I was lost when I first started looking at Australian colleges. There are just too many options and every agent gives you different info. A friend told me about FindTheCourses and within a week I had shortlisted 3 programs that actually matched my budget and visa situation. My advisor Sanjay was super helpful — never felt like I was being pushed into anything.
