The double degree takes 5.7 years to complete and requires a total of 264 Units of Credit (UOC). This comprises 168 UOC for the Bachelor of Engineering (Honours) in Materials Science and Engineering and 96 UOC for the Bachelor of Commerce.

Yes, the Bachelor of Engineering (Honours) component of this double degree is fully accredited with Engineers Australia at the level of Professional Engineer. Graduates are also recognised internationally through the Washington Accord.
For domestic Commonwealth Supported students, the 2026 indicative first year full fee is $12,000 and the indicative full fee to complete the degree is $68,000. For international students, the 2026 indicative first year full fee is $61,500 and the indicative full fee to complete the degree is $378,000. These fees are for tuition only and are subject to annual review.
Applications for undergraduate study from domestic students (Australian citizens, Australian permanent residents, Australian permanent humanitarian visa holders and New Zealand citizens) are processed by the Universities Admissions Centre (UAC). You can nominate up to five degrees in order of preference. On-time applications for admission usually close at the end of September each year for Term 1 admission, with the majority of offers made in December and January.
