Common Questions
This course requires attendance at more than one campus. All Engineering units will be delivered at the Joondalup Campus, while the Commerce units will be delivered at the City Campus. The course also has a modified timetable, so students should plan accordingly.
Students can choose from several Engineering majors including Chemical Engineering, Civil Engineering, Computer Systems, Electrical Power, Electronics and Communications, Instrumentation Control and Automation, Mechanical Engineering, and Mechatronics. For the Commerce component, available majors include Entrepreneurship, Finance, Human Resource Management, International Business, Management, and Project Management.
Students who receive a WAM of 70 per cent or above for the Engineering units at the end of their fourth year of study will be invited to complete a graded Engineering Honours degree by taking the two Honours Thesis units (ENS5145 Engineering Honours Thesis 1 and ENS5146 Engineering Honours Thesis 2) in place of the standard project units in their fifth year. Students below this cutoff, or who decline the offer to undertake the Honours Thesis, will graduate with an ungraded Engineering Honours degree.
For domestic students, the estimated first year indicative fee is AUD $12,900 (Commonwealth supported place). For international students, the estimated first year indicative fee is AUD $40,750. The CRICOS code for international students is 094918J.
All applicants are required to have Mathematics: Methods ATAR (with equivalents considered) and at least one of Physics ATAR, Engineering Studies ATAR, Chemistry ATAR, or Mathematics: Specialist ATAR (with equivalents considered). It is desirable that applicants have Physics ATAR or Engineering Studies ATAR; students without these may need to take a bridging unit in the first year of their studies. The indicative ATAR for domestic students is 80.

Honestly I was lost when I first started looking at Australian colleges. There are just too many options and every agent gives you different info. A friend told me about FindTheCourses and within a week I had shortlisted 3 programs that actually matched my budget and visa situation. My advisor Sanjay was super helpful — never felt like I was being pushed into anything.
