Yes. This course is accredited by Engineers Australia at the level of professional engineer. Professional engineering courses accredited by Engineers Australia are recognised internationally under the Washington Accord, and graduates meet the academic requirements for attaining chartered professional engineering status.
Year 1 is delivered at the City Campus. Years 2 through 4 are delivered at the Tonsley campus. The course is available in-person at both locations.
Yes. In Year 3, students undertake a 20-week Industry Based Practicum as part of the core curriculum, along with an industry project. Study abroad opportunities are also available as part of the degree.
Domestic students can enter with a Guaranteed Entry ATAR of 80.00, a STAT score of 155.0, a GPA of 5.0, or a TAFE/VET Diploma or above. Prerequisites include SACE Stage Two General Mathematics or equivalent, and knowledge of SACE Stage Two Physics or equivalent is assumed. Several pathway options are also available, including Engineering (Honours) – Flexible Entry, Engineering (Honours) – General Entry, Engineering Science, Diploma in Arts, and Science.
For 2026, the annual indicative fee for domestic students in a Commonwealth Supported Place (CSP) is $9,537, while the full fee-paying (FFP) rate is $47,300 per year for international students.
