Common Questions
This course is only available to students transferring from approved articulation partners or approved credit pathways. In all other aspects, normal UC admission requirements to an undergraduate course apply. A credit transfer arrangement is available for students from Henan University Of Engineering studying Bachelor of Computer Science and Technology, Software Engineering, or Data Science and Big Data Technology.
The Bachelor of Engineering Technology (BET) is not accredited by the Australian Computer Society (ACS). The University offers alternative courses that are accredited by the ACS — for more information contact SciTech-StudentEnquiries@canberra.edu.au.
International students must meet an IELTS Academic score of 6.0 overall, with no band score below 6.0 (or equivalent). IELTS equivalences are available on the UC website.
The Bachelor of Engineering Technology is a 3.0-year full-time on-campus course delivered at Bruce, Canberra. Intake periods are available in Semester 1 (starting 16 February 2026) and Semester 2 (starting 10 August 2026), with further intakes in 2027.
Graduates will gain knowledge and skills in cutting-edge developments in the ICT industry including business, information systems, system analysis and modelling, cyber security and system administration, networking and software development, with a high-level awareness of professional ethics, responsibilities, values and standards. The course covers a Core Major in Information Technology and Systems and a Specialist Major in Engineering Technology.
