Yes. The Bachelor of Engineering Technology with the Mechanical, Electrical, and Civil Majors are fully accredited by Engineers Australia (EA). Graduates are recognised as Engineering Technologists and are eligible for Graduate Membership with EA.
To commence the Aircraft Maintenance Majors, you must have already completed a Diploma of Aircraft Maintenance Engineering (Avionics or Mechanical) at Aviation Australia, or an equivalent qualification approved by the European Union Aviation Safety Agency (EASA). Upon completing the Diploma, you will receive 1.5 years of advanced standing towards the corresponding Aircraft Maintenance specialisation in this course. The final 1.5 years of the course are available on campus at Aviation Australia Brisbane and online.
Yes. To be eligible for graduation, you must complete 360 hours of Professional Engineering Practice, including a minimum of 240 hours of industry experience. This mandatory work experience is set by the course accreditation body Engineers Australia, and in one of your final terms of study you must enrol into the zero-credit Engineering Practice Experience unit (ENEP14004) and record your experience in an ePortfolio.
Yes. If you hold a TAFE qualification (eligible courses only) and relevant trade experience, you may be eligible to apply for recognised prior learning for the Trade Practice elective, which could result in a reduced course duration. Honestly I was lost when I first started looking at Australian colleges. There are just too many options and every agent gives you different info. A friend told me about FindTheCourses and within a week I had shortlisted 3 programs that actually matched my budget and visa situation. My advisor Sanjay was super helpful — never felt like I was being pushed into anything.
