Bachelor of Exercise Science / Bachelor of Business Administration

The Bachelor of Exercise Science/Bachelor of Business Administration, which ACU abbreviates as BExSc/BBA, is a dual award of 320 credit points with a minimum duration of four years full-time or the equivalent part-time. ACU's approved locations for the course are Brisbane, Melbourne and Strathfield, and the handbook records that it is not offered at Strathfield or Brisbane in 2026. For students in New South Wales, Exercise Science units are offered on the Strathfield campus while Business units are held at the North Sydney campus, and ACU states it will endeavour to minimise travel between campuses on the same day. The completion requirements split the program three ways. One hundred and sixty credit points come from Bachelor of Exercise and Sports Science units, made up of 120 credit points of specified exercise and sports science units, 20 credit points of elective units, and 20 credit points of industry experience that includes the zero-credit unit EXSC205 Industry Experience Preparation. A further 140 credit points come from business units: 130 credit points of specified business units plus the 10 credit point unit BIPX202 Community Engagement: Building Strengths and Capabilities. The final 20 credit points are drawn from ACU's Core Curriculum units. Units listed in the schedule include ANAT100 Anatomical Foundations of Exercise Science, BIOL125 Human Biology 1, EXSC204 Exercise Prescription and Delivery, EXSC224 Mechanical Bases of Exercise, EXSC225 Physiological Bases of Exercise and EXSC322 Exercise Physiology. Students follow the pattern of unit enrolment set out in the relevant Course Enrolment Guide unless the Course Adviser approves otherwise, and are advised by the Course Adviser on all aspects of progression.
