Yes. In addition to meeting the academic GPA requirement, applicants must provide a one-page statement of approximately 300 words outlining why they wish to study Honours and what they are hoping to research. If successful, students will have the opportunity to modify their research direction once they commence their studies.
The Bachelor of Fashion Enterprise and Technology (Honours) is taught predominantly face-to-face at RMIT's Brunswick campus. It also offers flexible blended learning formats. Teaching styles include research seminars, specialised workshops, guest speakers from industry, tutorials, class presentations, and group and student-led discussions.
Students and graduates are eligible to become members of the Australian Fashion Council (AFC) and the Textile Institute. Upon successful completion of this honours degree, graduates may be eligible for entry into an RMIT Postgraduate or Research degree, providing a pathway to further academic and professional development.
