About This Course

The Bachelor of Fashion Marketing and Enterprise is a first step towards unstitching convention in the fashion world. Co-developed with industry, the degree builds creative and business skills through hands-on experience with leading brands and key networking opportunities, letting students experiment with building, marketing and managing fashion businesses in a dynamic, fast-paced world. Students get innovative with business models, digital strategies, fashion buying, brand development, consumer insights and the principles of entrepreneurship, culminating in a double Capstone project in the final year. Learning outcomes include distinguishing between ethical and unethical marketing and enterprise management practices, understanding the fashion industry's impact on local and global communities, demonstrating thought leadership for entrepreneurial and social enterprise pursuits, independently and creatively solving complex marketing and management problems, and using research and critical thinking to anticipate user behaviour and preferences. Students undertake 120 hours of experience through an internship or a live brief.

The course benefits from a partnership with Vogue Australia offering internship, mentoring and scholarship opportunities, and includes a free Adobe Creative Cloud Pro licence for the duration of study and six months after graduation. Delivered online, on campus and in blended mode at Sydney, Melbourne and Brisbane, and online, the course runs three years full time, up to six years part time, at AQF Level 7, by Torrens University Australia Ltd trading as Billy Blue College of Design.

Entry Requirements

General Requirements

Domestic students:

Australian secondary school certificate, or equivalent OR
Successful completion of a Vocational qualification (AQF Level 4), or above OR
Successful completion of at least 0.25 EFTSL at AQF level 6, 0.5 EFTSL at AQF level 5 or above, or equivalent OR
Work life experience demonstrating the ability to undertake study at the required level, which may include approval of prior study or successful completion of a readiness assessment

International students:

Successful completion of at least 0.25 EFTSL at AQF level 6, 0.5 EFTSL at AQF level 5 or above, or equivalent OR
Australian secondary school certificate, or equivalent Senior Secondary qualification, or Baccalaureate Diploma AND
Academic IELTS 6.0 (no band less than 5.5) or equivalent OR
Alternative entry requirements may be available, which may include assessment and approval of prior study or successful completion of a readiness assessment (contact the International Admissions team for more information)
