Domestic students apply through the Universities Admissions Centre (UAC) by creating an application and listing the degree as a preference. International students who hold an Australian Year 12, International Baccalaureate Diploma, or New Zealand NCEA Level 3 also apply through UAC, while other international students can apply directly via UNSW's Apply Online portal.
Yes, UNSW offers a range of scholarships for both domestic and international students. These include the Scientia Scholarship (for students with a raw ATAR of 99.90 or above), the Academic Achievement Award ($5,000 for one year), Equity Scholarships for students from low-SES or disadvantaged backgrounds, and the UNSW Co-op Program which provides $19,600 per year along with industry placements. International students may be eligible for the International Scientia Coursework Scholarship, Australia's Global University Award, or the International Student Award (20% towards tuition fees).
UNSW offers several admission pathways including the Portfolio Entry Early Conditional Offer Scheme (where you submit a portfolio alongside your ATAR), the Gateway Admission Pathway (for students from Gateway schools or low-socioeconomic areas, offering early entry or a significantly lower ATAR requirement), and the UNSW College Diploma (which allows you to complete the first year of a bachelor's degree in 12 months and advance to second year with lower ATAR requirements).
The majority of offers for UNSW undergraduate degrees are made in the UAC December Round 2 and January Round 1 offer rounds. For the 2027 intake, UAC early bird applications close on Wednesday, 30 September 2026, ATARs are released on Wednesday, 16 December 2026, and December Round 2 offers are released on Wednesday, 23 December 2026.
UNSW currently uses a trimester system known as UNSW 3+. The university is also introducing a new 'flex-semester' academic calendar starting from 2028, which will change the structure of how terms are delivered.

Honestly I was lost when I first started looking at Australian colleges. There are just too many options and every agent gives you different info. A friend told me about FindTheCourses and within a week I had shortlisted 3 programs that actually matched my budget and visa situation. My advisor Sanjay was super helpful — never felt like I was being pushed into anything.
