Common Questions
Yes. If you are an elite athlete or performer whose study has been affected by your national athletic or performance history, you may be eligible to receive 5 adjustments to your selection rank. You must submit a UAC application preferencing a UTS course and then submit a separate application directly to UTS via their Apply Now link. Applications for 2027 intake open on 27 July and close on 30 November 2026.
You will need your UAC application number and details about your schooling and performance commitments, a completed Training/Rehearsal Schedule and Personal Statement template, a Supporting Statement from your sporting/performance coach or manager, a Supporting Statement from a responsible person at your education institution (e.g. principal or careers advisor), and any other applicable supporting documents. Elite performers also need to submit a portfolio of work or performance resume.
Eligible applicants will receive 5 adjustments to their selection rank, which will be used to determine entry into UTS courses. However, if you are already eligible for and receiving adjustments from inpUTS (Educational Access Scheme), you will not receive additional adjustments from this scheme.
Domestic students can contact UTS on 1300 ASK UTS (1300 275 887) or +61 2 9514 1222 from outside Australia. International students can call +61 2 8806 0230, email international@uts.edu.au, or send a WhatsApp message (messages only) to +61 489 089 375. You can also complete an online enquiry form on the UTS website.
No. UTS does not participate in the Elite Athlete and Performer Scheme assessed by UAC. Instead, UTS runs its own Elite Athletes and Performers Entry Scheme, and eligible applicants must submit a separate application directly to UTS after completing their UAC application.

Honestly I was lost when I first started looking at Australian colleges. There are just too many options and every agent gives you different info. A friend told me about FindTheCourses and within a week I had shortlisted 3 programs that actually matched my budget and visa situation. My advisor Sanjay was super helpful — never felt like I was being pushed into anything.
