Course Overview
The Bachelor of Games Design and Development program aims to provide graduates with the necessary skills to be a successful videogame designer and developer. Recognising that the videogames industry in Australia is small and jobs are hard to come by, we also intend to give graduates a wider variety of career options in software development and user experience design.
The BGDD program comprises three streams, addressing three different skill areas important for the field:

Common Questions
To be eligible, you need at least one of the following HSC subjects at Band B4 or above: Software Design and Development, Information Processes and Technology, or Design and Technology. You also need a mathematics subject (Mathematics Advanced at Band B4, or HSC Mathematics Extension 1 or 2 at E2), plus an additional Category A or Extension subject not already used to satisfy another requirement.
Yes, a mathematics subject is required. You must have achieved at least Band B4 in Mathematics Advanced, or at least E2 in HSC Mathematics Extension 1 or HSC Mathematics Extension 2.
No. The entry requirements specify that any Category A or Extension subject used to satisfy the third requirement must not have already been used to satisfy another requirement in the application.
A minimum of Band B4 is required for the technology-related HSC subjects, which include Software Design and Development, Information Processes and Technology, and Design and Technology.
