This course is only available to returning and current students who commenced a Bachelor of Political, Economic and Social Sciences (Honours) degree in 2017 or prior, and who have obtained results with an average of 70% or above in eight senior units of study (48 credit points) in the subject in which they wish to take honours.
The available Honours subject areas include American Studies, Anthropology, Arabic Language and Cultures, Asian Studies, Criminology, European Studies, History, International Business, Political Economy, and Sociology.
The program takes 1 year full time for both Domestic and International students. Part time study is also available for eligible applicants, excluding international student visa holders.
The standard closing dates are 15 January of the commencing year for Semester 1 (February start) and 25 June of the commencing year for Semester 2 (August start). The University strongly encourages applicants to apply as early as possible, as offers are made on a rolling basis and places are limited.
The Honours year is the Faculty's essential research training pathway to higher degrees by research in the humanities and social sciences, making it the first step on the path to careers as professional researchers and academics.
