Yes, Work Integrated Learning is a guaranteed part of all Swinburne bachelor degrees. In this course, depending on your major, the Health Science Project (HEA30001) gives you the opportunity to explore a student-led project with potential links into the industry. Students can also participate in a professional placement of either six or 12 months duration, though this will result in an increase in total course fees.
Students have access to cutting-edge technology including virtual dissection tables, virtual reality tools for immersive learning of human anatomy, industry-standard bioinformatics software, point-of-care medical monitoring devices, and neuroimaging equipment. Swinburne is also the only university in Australia to have both MRI and MEG at a single site, which is particularly relevant for the Neuroscience and Clinical Technologies majors.
For 2026, the yearly Commonwealth Supported Place (CSP) fee is approximately $9,537 AUD, with a total course fee of approximately $28,611 AUD. Honestly I was lost when I first started looking at Australian colleges. There are just too many options and every agent gives you different info. A friend told me about FindTheCourses and within a week I had shortlisted 3 programs that actually matched my budget and visa situation. My advisor Sanjay was super helpful — never felt like I was being pushed into anything.
