Yes. Work Integrated Learning is a guaranteed part of all Swinburne bachelor degrees. This double degree includes an industry-linked project, the opportunity to apply for a career-focused placement or internship, and the chance to create real social change with industry partners through the unit Skills and Strategies for Social Change. There is also an optional professional placement of 100 credit points available.
For domestic students, the 2026 yearly fee for a Commonwealth Supported Place (CSP) is $13,467 AUD, with an estimated total course fee of $53,868 AUD (or $40,520 AUD depending on the fee type). Domestic students may be eligible for HECS-HELP loans. International students should note that fees are assessed according to actual study load each semester and are subject to annual review. A Student Services and Amenities Fee (SSAF) of $373 AUD (capped for 2026) also applies.
Swinburne is the only university in Australia to have both MRI and MEG at a single site. Students also have access to virtual dissection tables using 3D reconstruction imaging to digitally dissect the human body, virtual reality for immersive learning of human anatomy, and other cutting-edge med-tech. The Neuroscience major specifically trains students to interpret data from MRI and MEG machines to identify brain conditions.
Yes. Swinburne offers pathway courses including the Diploma of Health Science (UniLink) and the Diploma of Business (UniLink), which can provide credit (advanced standing) into this double degree. Credit transfer and Recognition of Prior Learning (RPL) based on work or life experience are also assessed on a case-by-case basis.
