Human Structure and Physiology 1
Introduces basic concepts and terminologies required to study and understand the structure and function of the human body, exploring cells, tissues, organs and key body systems including integumentary, musculoskeletal, respiratory and cardiovascular.
Biological Foundations
Explores biological building blocks of the human body from the chemical level up to the cellular level, including biochemistry concepts such as carbohydrates, proteins, enzymes, lipids, DNA and RNA.
Myotherapy Foundations
Theoretical and experiential learning covering history and origins of Myotherapy, palpatory skills, postural observation, vacuum cupping, stretching techniques, soft tissue mobilization and neuromuscular techniques.
Musculoskeletal Anatomy 1
Builds on foundational knowledge of tissues and joints of the upper body, covering the axial and appendicular skeleton (upper limb), nervous system, cervical and thoracic spine, head, and shoulder.
Human Structure and Physiology 2
Further develops knowledge of human body structure and physiology, covering lymphatic, immune, digestive, nervous, endocrine, urinary, reproductive systems and special senses.
Professional Communication and Collaboration
Introduces skills required by health professionals for effective interactions in interpersonal and interprofessional workplace settings, including counselling skills, ethical communication, diversity and inclusion, and professional behaviours.
Musculoskeletal Anatomy 2
Builds on foundational knowledge of tissues and joints of the lower body, covering the pelvis, hip and lower limb using structure and function labs, dynamic anatomic and cadaveric software and models.
Evidence Based Practice
Provides an introduction to health informatics, research and digital literacy, critical thinking and evidence-based practice, including quantitative and qualitative evidence, research methodology and basic statistics.
Human Biology and Disease
Explores pathophysiology, clinical manifestations, risk factors and investigations for common disease states, including biomedical and biopsychosocial models of health, epidemiology, and general investigative and diagnostic approaches.

This course has a requirement of 200 points of Work-Integrated Learning plus 210 hours of Clinical Practicum. You will gain supervised experience at student-led clinics and external placements, working with the latest technology and solving genuine client health issues.
