What is a Bachelor of Health Science in Dermal Therapies? A Bachelor of Health Science (Dermal Therapies) gives you the skills and knowledge to work in skin health and anti-ageing treatments. Students will gain hands-on experience with advanced skincare techniques and the latest dermal technologies, including microdermabrasion, microneedling, chemical peels, LED therapy, IPL, laser, radiofrequency, ultrasound, and cryolipolysis, preparing them to deliver safe, evidence-based treatments for a range of skin and body conditions. The degree also develops your understanding of dermal therapy principles, innovations, and professional practice, backed by a foundation in health science and biology. You'll gain practical experience in our student-led clinic on the Brisbane campus, where you'll treat real clients and build the confidence to start your career in this exciting field. More Learning outcomes and Work-Integrated Learning Perform and co-ordinate various dermal treatments to meet industry standards. Develop treatment plans aligned to clients specific needs and expectations. Understand skin health protocols and how they impact different skin types and conditions. Stay on the frontline of innovative industry developments. This course has a requirement of 295 hours of professional clinical practice. ASDC accredited Upon completion, graduates are eligible to apply for full membership to the Australian Society of Dermal Clinicians. Eligible for Queensland Government Radiation Health Cosmetic Laser licence Torrens University is authrorised by Queensland Health to deliver cosmetic laser training. Graduates meet the training requirements to apply for a license with Queensland Health to deliver services to use a Laser Apparatus.
