Yes, agreement of a Project Supervisor for the Honours Research Project is mandatory as part of the entry requirements. Applicants can browse the Bachelor of Health Science (Honours) project and supervisor list on Swinburne's website. When applying online, a simple sentence indicating your general research interests is sufficient — a detailed project description is not required at application stage.
The 2026 yearly tuition fee is AUD $9,537.00, with a total course fee of AUD $40,520.00. Fees are estimates only and subject to change. Domestic students in a Commonwealth Supported Place may be eligible for HECS-HELP. The Student Services and Amenities Fee (SSAF) for 2026 is $373.00, which is included within the annual tuition fee.
You will develop skills in the application of health science, application of technology, health science research skills, professional and ethical behaviours, and personal and professional development. You will also gain skills in project management, writing and oral presentations, and working as part of a team.
The course has two intakes: Semester 2 starting 03 August 2026, with a last date to apply of 29 July 2026; and Semester 1 starting 01 March 2027, with a last date to apply of 24 February 2027. It is recommended that applicants apply a minimum of one month prior to the start of semester.
