Common Questions
After your first year, you can choose to specialise in Digital Health, Health and Biomedical Sciences, or Therapy Studies, or you can take the Health major and select two minors in the area/s that interest you most. Minors include Ageing, Digital Health, Health Promotion, Nutrition and Therapy Studies.
Domestic students can enter the Bachelor of Health Sciences with a guaranteed entry ATAR of 70.00, a STAT score of 150.0, a GPA of 4.5, or a TAFE/VET Diploma or above. There are no prerequisites or assumed knowledge requirements. Pathway options include a Diploma in Health Sciences, Arts, or Diploma in Arts.
Graduates can pursue careers such as research officer, health program coordinator, community services officer, client services coordinator, digital health data officer, and technical officer. With further postgraduate study and work experience, careers could also include physiotherapist, occupational therapist, audiologist, speech pathologist, medical practitioner, social work, secondary teaching, neuroscientist, and researcher.
The Bachelor of Health Sciences is available in person at Bedford Park and the City Campus, as well as online. The course runs for 3 years full-time (or part-time equivalent), with intakes in March and July. Note that part-time equivalent study options are not available for international students.
For 2026, the annual indicative fees are $10,520 for Commonwealth Supported Place (CSP) students and $46,700 for Full Fee Paying (FFP) students, which applies to international students.
