Upon completion, you may receive one of the following awards: Bachelor of Health Sciences (Occupational Therapy Honours), Bachelor of Human Nutrition (Honours), Bachelor of Medical Radiation Science (Honours), Bachelor of Midwifery (Honours), Bachelor of Nursing (Honours), Bachelor of Health Science (Honours), or Bachelor of Sport and Exercise Science (Honours).
You must have completed a Bachelor degree in a Health discipline with a GPA of 5.0 or higher. You must also demonstrate commitment from an appropriate staff member to act as your supervisor should your application be successful, and you must submit the Honours Supplementary Form after submitting your application for admission.
The standard duration is 1 year full time or the part-time equivalent, with a maximum of 4 years from the date of enrolment to the date of course completion.
The course requires 24 credit points in total, comprising four units: Research Methods in Health Sciences H (11690), Health Sciences Research Honours A H (11691), Health Sciences Research Honours B H (11692), and Health Sciences Research Honours C H (11693), each worth 6 credit points.
The course is open for admissions in both Semester 1 and Semester 2 each year. In 2026, Semester 1 starts on 16 February 2026 and Semester 2 starts on 10 August 2026, with both intakes open to domestic and international students at the Bruce, Canberra campus.
