Honours Thesis A
Undertaken in Semester 1; students undertake their independent research project as part of an intensive research preparation period.
Honours Thesis B
Undertaken in Semester 2; students continue their independent research project and develop research skills through conference-style presentations.
Honours Thesis C
Undertaken in Semester 2; students prepare a full thesis and deliver a final research seminar in which their research project and associated results are presented and defended.

The program takes 8 months (2 semesters) to complete, making it an intensive alternative to the standard Honours pathway.
The Honours (Intensive) program is a period of intensive research training and independent research and study, culminating in an Honours Thesis and presentation of a research seminar. Students conceptualise, plan, organise, undertake and report on an independent research project whilst being supervised by a member of the academic staff.
Yes. Working closely with your supervisor, you will develop a research topic of your choice, formulating its aims, hypothesis and considered significance of your project. Focused research projects in the various disciplines will vary on an annual basis.
Yes. An Honours degree is an essential prerequisite for seamless entry into postgraduate research at Bond including the Master of Science by Research and PhD programs, and is also a recognised pathway for entry into postgraduate research master's and PhD programs more broadly.
The program is delivered on-campus at Bond University's Gold Coast Campus, with intake dates available in May 2026, May 2027, and May 2028.
